"Economics of paediatric acute respiratory illnesses and associated interventions in urban and regional Australian communities"
Yolanda Lovie-Toon is undertaking her PhD studies through the Queensland University of Technology. Her primary supervisor is CRE Chief Investigator Dr Kerry-Ann O'Grady, and her associate supervisors are Professor Anne Chang, Dr Michael Otim and Dr Dimitrios Vagenas. Her project aims to determine the economic and quality of life burden of acute respiratory illnesses and cough among Australian children. The project will also assess the cost-effectiveness of two interventions aimed at reducing the burden of acute respiratory illnesses and cough in children, namely the uptake and timeliness of vaccinations and the use of a cough management pathway.
Yolanda is supported by a CRE top up scholarship.
